Line symmetry was finished (fold rule in her words, the rectangle's diagonal rejected cold with a reason, 2/2 unaided counts on fresh shapes) and the negative-divisor flip, the 'r =' final line and a cold minus-bracket equation were all right unaided, but the density item gave 450/50 as 90 and the unit again not in exam form. Ran 09:25-10:33 on the Tuesday interleaved-practice block; non-calc; typed; one item per message; break 09:41-09:45. Fold rule: 'the halves over lap and if they are the same if not they are not equel'. Rectangle diagonal: 'no because the sides would have hangover'. Trapezium 1, plus cross 4, both right unaided. Video not watched. Worksheet photographed: her answers visible, the sheet's pictures still not seen, so unmarked. -4x >= 20: '20/-4 = -5, x <= -5', flip unprompted, x kept, 2 min. T = 5r^2: T/5 = r^2, root(T/5) = r, 'r = root(T/5)' last line unprompted, 10 min. 20 - 3(x+2) = 5: 20 - 3x - 6 = 5, 20 - 3x = 11, -3x = -9, then x = 3 when asked for the last line; 4 valid lines, cold; 25 min including the photo interruption. Density 450 g / 50 cm^3: '90g per 1cm3'; after 'what's 50 x 9' she wrote '50*9 = 450, 90g/1cm3' and did not revise; tutor gave 9 g/cm^3. 8 set, 8 attempted, 0 blank: 6 right unaided, 1 right after a 'last line' ask, 1 wrong. Session 138's symmetry work completed. Review to follow via tracker_save_lesson_review (connector refused the combined call).
FIRST, three cold items, one per message: a density item worded 'give the units' (looking for g/cm^3 as one unit, division checked against the answer); then 5 - 2x <= 11 with x kept on every line (the x-second inequality not yet set); then one count of lines of symmetry on a shape with none (scalene triangle or parallelogram). Fewer than 2 of 3 right: reteach that one before anything new. Worksheet marking still owed: ask for a photo of the Corbettmaths line-symmetry sheet's pages, or leave it to Dad. Then the interleaved set with G14-G16 (compound area, working not asked for) and A21 (equation in x as the first line). Do not re-set homework #8 or #11 items.
Line-symmetry worksheet still unmarked: her answers are photographed but the sheet's own pictures have not been seen. Needs a photo of the worksheet pages, or Dad marks it. The x-second inequality (5 - 2x <= 11) was not set.
| Topic | Name | Change | Evidence recorded |
|---|---|---|---|
| G1 | Gap → Developing | 3 Nov, non-calc. Confirm 2/2: fold rule in her words, rectangle diagonal rejected cold with the fold reason. Apply 2/2 unaided on shapes shown as pictures: isosceles trapezium 1, plus cross 4. 0 blank. Gap -> developing. Video not watched; worksheet answers photographed but unmarked. | |
| A22 | Developing → Developing | 3 Nov, non-calc, cold, unaided: -4x >= 20 -> '20/-4 = -5, x <= -5'. Flip on the divide line with no number to move, no number test, no reminder; x on every line. 1/1. The unprompted item the loose end asked for; proposed secure. | |
| A5 | Secure → Secure | 3 Nov, non-calc, cold: T = 5r^2 -> T/5 = r^2, root(T/5) = r, then 'r = root(T/5)' as the last line with no prompt beyond the wording. 1/1 unaided, 10 min. Loose end closed. | |
| A17 | Developing → Developing | 3 Nov, non-calc, cold: 20 - 3(x+2) = 5 -> 20 - 3x - 6 = 5, 20 - 3x = 11, -3x = -9, then x = 3 when asked 'what's the last line'. 4 valid lines. 1/1 unaided. Third cold minus-bracket item with every line valid (10, 12 Oct, 3 Nov); proposed secure. | |
| A4 | Secure → Secure | 3 Nov, non-calc, cold: -3(x+2) expanded as -3x - 6 first time, sign right. 1/1 unaided. | |
| N13 | Secure → Secure | 3 Nov, non-calc, 'give the units': 450 g / 50 cm^3 written '90g per 1cm3'. Value wrong (450/50 as 90); exam form g/cm^3 not written for the fourth time (22 Oct, 23 Oct, 2 Nov, 3 Nov). After 'what's 50 x 9' she wrote '50*9 = 450, 90g/1cm3' and kept 90. 0/1. | |
| R11 | Secure → Secure | 3 Nov, non-calc: density = mass/volume chosen right, 450/50 given as 90, not corrected after her own check line 50 x 9 = 450. 0/1. One slip on a secure topic; no demotion. |
