Session 121

What happened

Makeup of the missed Mon 19 Oct creative writing block (her extra Lit session on the 19th, #118, covers today's Lit block). The timetable would not accept the Monday block key on a Tuesday, so this is logged as an extra. Spelling starter 'actually' correct first go with meaning cue and first letters. Story task (W2.2, show character through one detail, session 97's task): she gave a good 'shake in his voice' example, then drafted footsteps, a ripped lid and a featureless face. After about an hour away she returned with a long branching-story passage: strong blinding-light opening and a bleeding-girl detail, but 'says with enthusiasm' is told not shown, dialogue runs on without new lines, and there is one comma splice ('...black suit, next to them is...'). Session stopped at 12:55 on her say-so before she fixed the splice; description vs story, still paragraph and exit ticket not reached. Spelling of 'featureless' wobbled three times (feterless, fetcherless).

Planned next

Open by getting her to find and fix the comma splice in the black-suit sentence of her story passage (the one AO6 focus). Then fix 'says with enthusiasm' by showing it through an action or sound. Then description vs story and one still paragraph from the shoe or the Greek sign. Spelling: featureless (feature + less).

Unfinished unfinished · closed

Comma splice fix in her black-suit sentence not done; two-line close (what I did / what's next) not written; description vs story and still paragraph not reached.

What this session changed

TopicNameChangeEvidence recorded
W2.2Gap → Gap20 Oct: with a prompt she gave 'a shake in his voice' as an example, then drafted show-not-tell details (footsteps, ripped lid, featureless face) and a long passage; still told 'with enthusiasm'. Supported attempt only, no status change.
